Mrs. Sarah Plogger
Sarah Crawford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Crawford, was born in Pike County, Illinois, December 15, 1843. She was married to Thomas Plogger, September 9, 1874. To this union were born six children, three of whom, Howard, Virgil and Louis, are now living, besides two children of her husband by a former marriage, John, of this vicinity, and Mrs. E.J. Kimbro, of Midland, South Dakota. Mr. and Mrs. Plogger made their home near Rockbridge until their removal twelve years ago, to Greenfield. The care of her husband through a long invalidism until his death Sept. 5, 1917, aggravated an illness from which she had long suffered and after but a brief separation, on the morning of January 2, 1918, she followed him into the Great Beyond. Mrs. Plogger was a member of the Methodist Church. The funeral will be held at the M.E. church in this city on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 11 a.m. The interment will be in the Oakwood cemetery.
