DIMMITT - Irene Carpenter, 96, died Thursday, May 24, 2007, in Rocky Ford, Colo.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church in Dimmitt with the Rev. Clint Young officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Garden Cemetery by Colonial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Carpenter was born in Johnson County and grew up near Cleburne. She married E.L. Carpenter on May 12, 1928 in Anson.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Autry of Rocky Ford; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Arkansas Valley Hospice, P.O. Box 1067, La Jaunta, CO 81050
