Mildred Lavern (Wayt) Haddock, 81, of Monett, died at 5:10 a.m. today, November 18, at her home. Mrs. Haddock was born February 28, 1923, in Delaware County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Samuel J. and Rhonda Fae (Williams) Wayt. She was cosmetologist owner/operator of New Dimension Hair Salon with her daughter. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where she was active in United Methodist Women's Group. She was involved in the Senior Adult Outreach ministry of New Site Baptist Church and in the Women's Missionary Union of the church. She was a member of Just-A-Mere Club and Railroad Retirement Club. She married Leslie Edward Haddock on March 23, 1939, in Southwest City, and he preceded her in death February 16 of this year.

Survivors include three daughters, all of Monett; three sisters, one brother, 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six sisters.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 22, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Rev. Aaron Wiebel officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 21, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Haddock Memorial Fund.
