Short, Stephanie Lynn

Stephanie Lynn Short, 40, of Scottsburg and formerly of Commiskey, passed away at 3 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2009, at her residence.

Ms. Short was born Feb. 14, 1969, in Seymour. She was the daughter of Danny and Patricia "Pat" Leveridge Short.

She was a former cook at the Breakfast Club in Paris, Ind. She was a 1987 graduate of Jennings County High School and was a member of Coffee Creek Baptist Church in Paris Crossing.

Surviving with her parents are a son, Dakotah Pearson, Scottsburg; two brothers, Daryl Short, Paris, Ind., and Stephen (Sandra) Short, Seymour; two sisters, Ruth (Mike) Manning, Commiskey, and Tanya Short, Scottsburg; four nephews, Matthew and Christopher (Christina) Manning, both of North Vernon, and Mason and Brody Short, both of Seymour; and two nieces, Michelle Ayles, Scottsburg, and Carly Manning, North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

The Rev. Dennis Thomas will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home, North Vernon. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Jennings County.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
