During his stay there he married Miss Margaret Castor, April 3, 1834. He, together with his wife, afterwards moved back to Canada and lived ten years. They moved to Fremont, this state, in 1852, and to Brockway onto his farm one mile west of here in 1872, coming to this village 7 years later an have resided here ever since.
Ten children was the result of their union, 8 girls and 2 boys, six of whom are still living-1 boy, James, in Goldsboro, Caroline Co., Md., and 5 girls, Mrs. Thos. Weston, of this place, Mrs. Hitchings and Mrs. Stewart, of St. Charles, Mich., Mrs. Clark of Boakland [Boatland], Tenn., Mrs. Story, of Marion, Mich.
Deceased had always been a member of the church of England until 1867 while he resided in Fremont when he was converted to the Methodist Episcopal faith by Rev. Mr. Sheppard. He leaves a loving wife and six children who have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad "bereavement. He was a loving husband, kind father and a highly respected and honored citizen."
