William Henry Downs was the husband of Lizzie McClane Lockwood-Downs. He was the father of Olive, Oscar, Lionel, Blanche and Wilma. He was the son of Isaac and Jane Downs, and was laid to rest in Hazelwood Cemetery with a plain marker. Henry was living a miserable life in the Greene County Alms House, where he had been living on two separate occasions. But it was shortly after he walked away and tried to go home, that he was taken back there, only to die as a result of exposure.
