Esther M. Barrett , 72, of 203 Hill St., Chittenango, died Thursday at the Jewish Home of Central New York.

Born in Ira, she lived in Chittenango since 1955. She retired in 1989 after 15 years in the loan processing department of Key Bank in Syracuse. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chittenango, where she was a former deaconess, Sunday school teacher and choir member and member of the Dorcas Circle and the Music and Pulpit committees.

Her husband, Marion C., died in 1995.

Survivors: Four sons, Benson P. and Martin H., both of Chittenango, Kenneth A. of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Timothy R. of Arlington, Mass.; a daughter, Theresa M. Los of Belle Mead, N.J.; a brother, William Finkle of Chittenango; three sisters, Shirley Dutcher of Chittenango, Alice Yawney of Jordan and Eleanor Edgebert of Spring Lake; seven grandchildren.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church of Chittenango. Burial, Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Drive, Chittenango.
