Hugo P. Abbondi Jr., 55, of Landenberg, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2006, at the Chester County Hospital.
He was the husband of Mary Anne Fleming Abbondi, with whom he shared 28 years of marriage.
Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Hugo and Olivia Hawkins Abbondi.
Hugo coached baseball for many years for the Avon-Grove Little League and was involved for many years with his daughter's soccer teams. He enjoyed working with Bonsai trees and loved to cook.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Kevin J. Abbondi and his wife, Sarah of West Grove; one daughter, Jenna L. Abbondi of Landenberg; and one sister, Marcella Morris of Rehoboth Beach, Del.
He was predeceased by one son, Jason Michael Abbondi.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc., 250 West State Street, Kennett Square.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
