NEW ALBANY, Ind.- Vertis P. Little, 81, of New Albany, Ind., formerly of St. Elmo, Ill., died Monday (Feb. 16, 2004)at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Ind. The Kraft Funeral Chapel in New Albany, Ind., was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Graceland Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband, Walter Little of New Albany, Ind.; daughters, Cynthia Murphy of Denver, Ind., Nancy Fisher of North Manchester, Ind., Darla Gradeless of Huntington, Ind., and Terri Mullins of New Albany, Ind.; brothers, Edward Waddell of St. Elmo, Ill., Lawrence "Larry" Waddell of Vandalia, Ill., and Jack Waddell of Dawson Springs, Ky.; sisters, Flossie Graham of Altamont, Ill., and Effie "Liz" Pforr of Mattoon, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, two brothers, and infant sister. Mrs. Little was a member of the Northside Christian Church and 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star.
