Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Puyear-Brockmeier Mortuary Chapel for Mrs. Bernice Beames, 85, of Herington, who died Tuesday at her home. The Rev. John Mikow will officiate.
Mrs. Beames was born March 1, 1904, at Clyde, the daughter of Walter and Flora Colwell.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Herington.
She was married to Lester Beames on Dec. 1, 1923, at Belleville. He died Dec. 7, 1984.
Survivors include three sons, Leslie Beames of Holton, Robert Beames of Ramona, and Curtis Beames of Herington; nine grand-children and 13 great-grand-children.
Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
