Dr. Edward Zimmer
Clearwater, Fla.- Dr. Edward A. Zimmer, 74, died Saturday, April 17, 1993, in Meece Countryside Hospital in Clearwater.
He was born Nov. 19, 1918, in St. Clair and was a longtime area resident. His first wife, Mary F. Schwab died Nov. 11, 1978. He then married Janie Johnson.
He was a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Michigan Chiropractic Association. He was past president of the St. Clair County Chiropractic Society and a member of the Council on Roentgenology of the American Chiropractic Association.
He is survived by his wife, Janie; three sons and daughters-in-law, James F. and Barbara Zimmer and Dr. Gregory and Jo Jean Zimmer, all of Port Huron and Edward Terry and Judith Zimmer of Dove Canyon, Calif.; a daughter, Diane O'Brien of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; two grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Dr. Francis and Margaret Ann Zimmer of Port Lampton, Ontario, Dr. Forbert and Flora June Zimmer of Harsens Island, Salvin J. and Phyliss Zimmer of St. Clair and Franklin and Pam Zimmer of Grosse Pointe Woods; a sister and brother-in-law, Hillary Ann and Calvin McCormick of Ira; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brothers, Burman Zimmer, and two sisters, LaTona Rutila and Eleanor McGregor.
Services are 10 A.M. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in St. Clair.
Visiting is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. today in the Karrer-Simpson-Crawford Funeral Home. A rosary will be said at 7 P.M.
