John P. Verdun of North Stonington, CT passed away peacefully on April 30, 2009, in Mystic, CT. He was 83.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the Japanese islands.
John is survived by his loving wife of nearly 58 years, June, and his daughter, Lorraine of Westerly, RI. He is also survived by three grandsons, Michael, Douglas and Daniel.
A graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery in North Stonington at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 16, for family and friends.
