Erieville – Services for Walter Belfield, 75, of Funk Road, retired railroad conductor, who died Monday following a truck and automobile accident, will be at 1:30 pm. Thursday at the Quinn, Ryan and Nunn Funeral Home, 800 John St., Utica. Cremation will be at Waterville.
He was born in Iowa and came to Erieville as a boy where he attended local schools. Mr. Belfield resided in Sauquoit and Eagle Village for some years and returned to Erieville nine years ago.
He married the former Martha Deater in 1939 in Pennsylvania. He was a Methodist and a member of the Rome Moose Lodge.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Earl and Kenneth Belfield and a brother Merrill Belfield.
