W. L. Powell, 62, died of a complication of diseases at his home on East Twentieth Street Monday morning at 6:50 o'clock. He is survived by his widow, and four children who are the Rev. W. L. Powell, Middlesboro, Ky; George Powell, Honolulu; Mrs. Maggie Llewellyn and Joe R. Powell of Owensboro and six grandchildren. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Frank Farmer at the residence, Tuesday afternoon with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. The following were the pallbearers: Frank Wilson, Wilson Corley, W. M. Tanner, E. H. Roberts, Charles Holder and John Stephens.
