Green Hill resident and Warren County native Elise Byars Stewart, 81, died Feb. 10 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.

A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Travis.

She is survived by her husband, George M. Stewart; son, James S. Byars of Monroe, N.C.; stepsons, Ronald E. Stewart of McMinnville and Donald M. Stewart of Nashville; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Gilder officiating. Burial will follow at Bluff Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until time of service today at Love-Cantrell & Cope.

Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
