Ailene W. Morgan, 87, of Keokuk, died at 7:12 PM Saturday evening, April 26, 2003 at her home.

She was born November 5, 1915, in Macon, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Tyson Weisenborn. She married J.L. "Louie" Morgan on April 21, 1935 in Macon, Missouri.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church; United Methodist Women; Chapter LZ, P.E.O.; Keokuk Area Hospital Auxiliary; King's Daughters; and several bridge clubs. She loved to play bridge, garden and cook; and being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Janice Morgan of Keokuk; a son, David Morgan and his wife, Judith, of Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, Gregory Newton and his wife, Jane, and children, Carrie & Andrew, Curtis Newton and children, August & Georgia Newton, Amy Johnson and her husband, Kurt, Elizabeth Helfrich and her husband, Michael, Cara Morgan, Taryn Bryden and Heather Bryden; two sisters, Jean King and Helen Malizia and her husband, Earl; brother-in-law, John Sparling; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. "Louie" Morgan; a daughter, Marilyn Morgan Newton; her parents; three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Pennington officiating. Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery north of Keokuk.
