Donald E. Kissinger, age 71, of Battle Creek, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Battle Creek Health System. He was born on April 24, 1937 in Battle Creek to Roy and Thelma (Sigourney) Kissinger. He was employed at Harper Creek School for 33 years. Donald was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by a sister, Janet Walker of Kalamazoo, Michigan and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew and niece, Jim and Janice McGhee of Battle Creek. Friends may call at the Spencer Family Funeral Home in Athens where the family will be present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2008. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Kathy Jenkins officiating. The interment will be Morgan Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to The Young Hunter Education Challenge or the Michigan Project Fish Program.
