Florence Leona Kaiser-Delaney, age 88, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009, in Spring Meadows Extended Health Care. Florence was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Florence was born in Toledo on January 5, 1921, to George and Caroline (Heuerman) Kaiser. A graduate of Holland High School, Florence spent her adult life raising her children and later worked 22 years for the Springfield Schools in the food service department. She was very active in the
Holland P.T.A. and Scout
organizations while the children were growing up. She was a member of the Holland American Legion Post #646, being past president of the Women's Auxiliary. She belonged to several bunco clubs and senior groups in her later years as well as being a member of the Providence Lutheran Church.
The widow of Louis James Delaney, who passed away May 10, 1999. Florence is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Harold) Rooks; son, Robert (Diana) Delaney; granddaughters, Jane Rooks; Cathy (Shawn) Crippen; Ashley and Taylor Delaney; great-grandchildren, Joe and Sam Miller; Mari and Shelby Crippen; brother, Donald (Rita) Kaiser; and her special angel, Miss, Jessie Taylor. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Norman, Richard and Dallas Kaiser.
Friends and family will
be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009, with Pastor Dennis King officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Providence Lutheran Church.
