Brady James "B. J." Altizer, Jr., 58, of Snowville, died
Wednesday morning, February 15, 2006 in the University of
Virginia Hospital after a long battle with Leukemia.

Born May 6, 1947 in Radford, he is the son of Kyle Morris Altizer
and the late Brady James Altizer, Sr.

B.J. was actively employed by the Virginia Department of Agriculture as an Inspector for 27 years.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Scott Altizer.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Rogers Altizer of Snowville; his mother, Kyle Morris Altizer of Dublin; and a sister, Dale Altizer Reese of Snowville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday February 17, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons with the Rev. Jim Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in Newbern Cemetery. Visiting will be anytime Thursday after 2 p.m. at the funeral home where the family to 8 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the home of B.J.'s
niece, Tammy Hurst, 208 3rd St. Dublin. Flowers will be
appreciated, but for those who wish, they may make memorial
contributions to your local Leukemia Foundation. Online
