Funeral services for Mrs. Erma Jean Richardson Giddens, age 78 of Farmerville, were held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Farmerville Church of Christ with Don Deluki officiating. Burial followed in Rocky Branch Cemetery near Farmerville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.

Mrs. Erma was born April 18, 1932 and died November 28, 2010 after a lengthy illness. She was a member of the Farmerville Church of Christ. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, decorating her home, singing and gardening. She loved her church and she also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years: R.J. "Jake" Richardson; her parents: Albert W. Smith and Annis Armstrong Smith; her sister: Laverne Kundy and her brother: Whitman A. Smith.

Mrs. Erma is survived by her husband: Wayne Porter Giddens; her 6 daughters: Bianca Richardson of Rocky Branch, Phyllis and husband John Grigson of West Monroe, Sybil and husband Tom Goodpaster of West Monroe, Patti Richardson of Rocky Branch, Bettie and husband Andy Wilkes of Farmerville and Lisa Richardson of Fort Worth, Texas; 1 grandson: Joshua Jordan Richardson and wife Meredith; 8 granddaughters: Sari Ford, Janssen Peck, Jordan Peck, Jillian Peck, Megan and husband Nathan Wiens, Emily Wilkes, Robin and husband T.J. Bracknell and Heather Pearson; 8 great grandchildren: Will Richardson, Jake Watson, Caitlyn Ford, Jayden Peck, Delila Peck, Desiree Pearson, Hayden Pearson and Ethan Bracknell; 1 sister: Flo and husband Bill Green of Benton as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Rex Green, Joe Preaus, David Duty, Rusty Hodge, David Burdeaux, Stan Smith and Andy Ramsey.
