In 1891, she was First State Regent of Indiana. In 1891, she was a Charter Member of the NSDAR. In 1893, she was the Vice President General of the NSDAR. In 1893, she was the Historian General of the NSDAR.

Mrs. Lucia Blount Dies
Formerly Owned The Oaks, Famous Georgetown Estate
Mrs. Lucia E. Blount, 84 years old, widow of the late Colonel Henry F. Blount, died at her home, 3028 Q Street, last night after a lingering illness. Mrs. Blount had long been a resident of Washington. She was formerly the owner of The Oaks, an estate at Thirty-first and R Streets, which is one of the show places of Georgetown. She disposed of the property about four years ago.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Eugene Shippen [1872-1963] of Boston and Mrs. Thurlow White of Alexandria; a son, Walter Blount of New York, and a sister, Mrs. E.E. de Graff [born 1854] of New York. Funeral arrangements have not been completed awaiting arrival of out-of-town relatives.
