Born in Quantico, she was a daughter of the late Onley Eugene Owens and Amy Myrtle Bailey Owens.
Mrs. Dorman was a member of Quantico United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and had held several positions in the church.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Pine Bluff Village and its residents, where she had lived for 12 years; the MAC staff; and Lee Bramble and her staff at Lee's Almost Home, where she had most recently lived.
She is survived by a son, William Thomas "Tom" Dorman Jr., and his wife, Nancy, of Berlin; two grandchildren, Ellen D. Masters and her husband, Andrew, of Berlin and Amy J. Cox and her husband, Chris, of Atlanta;; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Andrew Masters and Elizabeth Bailey Masters; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William T. Dorman Sr., in 1996 and two sisters, Irma Ellis and Essie Horner.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Howard Gordy will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Phillips Cemetery in Quantico.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
