Jimmie Carl Brantley, 59, of Clute, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2002, at Brazosport Memorial Hospital in Lake Jackson, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2002, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Brent Pittman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.

Jimmie was a lifelong resident and was an operator for Phillips Petroleum Co.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ellen Lou Brantley, of Clute; his children: Janet Riddle, Cindy Brantely and fiance Anthony Zraik and Otis Brantely; grandchildren: Chris Erickson and Brantley Riddle; mother Letha Faye Brantley; sisters: Wanda Vickers and husband Gary and Joyce Juusola and husband John; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl R. Brantley, and brother Billy "Pete" Brantley.

Pallbearers will be Skip Jackson, Tony Liserio, Mary Matthews, Fred Owen, Dale Poehl and Robert Spivey. Honorary pallbearers will be James Houston, Woodard Smith and Ranee Carreon.

Funeral services by Lakewood Funeral Chapel.
