Ray Orin Rubottom, 50, of Scottsbluff, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff with Pastor D. Jake Roberts officiating. At Ray's request his remains were cremated. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
Ray was born March 8, 1954, in Scottsbluff to Max and Lois G. (Ullstrom) Rubottom. He grew up in Gering and graduated from Gering High School in 1972. He married Ann Glasco in 1974. Ray worked in the floor covering business for 25 years. He loved to hunt, fish, and golf.
Survivors include his son, Erik Rubottom of Duluth, Minn.; daughter Cari Rubottom, also of Duluth; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick and Karen Rubottom of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Del Rubottom of Rexburg, Idaho; Lee and Deb Rubottom of Gering; and Brent Davis of Scottsbluff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max O. Rubottom, Lois Rubottom Davis and Red 'Virl' Davis (step-father).###
