Margaret was born Aug. 23, 1915, at Page to James and Harriet (Darr) Carson. She graduated from Page High School in 1934.
Margaret married Harold Kelly on Aug. 4, 1934, at Emmet. Four children were born to this union. Except for a short time living at Tilden, Harold and Margaret spent their life in Page. Margaret was a member of the United Methodist Church her whole life. She loved music, and it came through in her playing even though she had only a few lessons. She played for Sunday school, church and Royal Neighbors for many years. She loved her church and showed it by teaching Sunday school and holding many offices over the years.
Margaret worked as a telephone operator, clerk at the Farmers Store and caretaker of the Burlington Northern depot. But none as important as the "job" she held as wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed doing handiwork, baking and making candy, which she shared with friends and neighbors.
She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Royal Neighbor Lodge and a bridge club that she enjoyed for over 60 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Carr and her husband, Jim of Alliance, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold; one infant son, Dean LeRoy; two daughters, Marlene Schneider and Karen Gibbs; son-in-law Lyle Gibbs and an infant great-grandson and her two brothers, Melvin and Gerald Carson.
