Howard Wylie Rimmer, 72, of Hornbeak, died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Wesley at Dyersburg Nursing Center.
He was a retired crane operator for General Motors, a U.S. Army veteran and and a Baptist.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Peace Chapel Cemetery in Scotts Hill.
The family will receive visitors at 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his former wife, Mary Katherine Rimmer of Ridgely; five sisters, Flynn Murphy of Memphis, Ivelee Huckabee of Lexington, Janet Brader of Little Rock, Ark., Jo Ethel VanVelvor and Ruby McBee, both of Michigan; a brother, K.D. Rimmer of Memphis; and several nieces and nephews including Deborah Marberry of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by a son, Howard Keith Rimmer; his parents, Lecter and Connie Rimmer; and two brothers, Cecil Rimmer and Gary Wade Rimmer.
