CLARA ADLINE WILES
Mrs. Clara Adline Wiles, 78, died at 10 p.m. Sunday at the home of her stepson, Ralph Wiles, 218 West Taylor street, where she had been residing since February 13. She had been in failing health for some time and was seriously ill eight weeks.
Mrs. Wiles was born May 7, 1871, to John R. and Sarah E. Marshall. Her first marriage was to Abraham Oliver September 18, 1889. Mr. Oliver died March 1, 1910. The second marriage was to Ellis T. Wiles January 1, 1925. Mr. Wiles died February 7, 1950.
Mrs. Wiles had lived at 1433 Walnut Street since 1925 until she was removed to her stepson's home. She was a member of the Congregational Christian church.
Surviving are two stepsons, Wilbert Wiles and Ralph Wiles, this city; two step-daughters, Mrs. Fern Hammel, this city, and Mrs. Abner Brown, Tucson, Ariz.; eight step-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Emma McClurg and Mrs. Catherine Hefner, this city, and one brother, Arthur Marshall, Kalamazoo, Mich.
The body was removed to the Bailey mortuary where friends may call.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bailey chapel with the Rev. Turner officiating.
Burial will be at the Woodlawn cemetery at Warren.
