Gaynell was the oldest child of Alfred R Talbot & Nora Alice Underhill. She married Hannes G Johnson Dec 19 1917 in Harmon, Lee County, Illinois. They lived in the Harmon area for about two years and then moved to Danforth, Illinois, where the last four of their five children were born. After about 14 years in Danforth, they moved to Onarga for a year, then LaHogue, Illinois and lived there until about 1967 when they moved a few miles east to Gilman, Illinois.
She was a wife, mother and housekeeper all of her life. Gaynell is a half 8th cousin, once removed to Amelia Earhart, the famous female aviator who disappeared in 1937 over the Pacific Ocean while trying to fly around the world.
