The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at Providence Presbyterian church, of which she was a member and interment was in the historic Providence cemetery. The pastor, Dr. Harold Hayward and the former pastor Rev. E. Y. Wiley of Norwood, conducted the service.
Active pallbearers were Messrs. Richard Hudson, William Massey, William Price, Lindsay Ennis, Charles Walkup, and John McKee.
Mrs. Howard was born May 6, 1871, Mecklenburg county. She was the daughter of the late Margaret Audrey and John Potts.
She is survived by one son, C. O. Howard, Jr. of R3 Waxhaw: one granddaughter, Mrs. W. L. Hemby
of Monroe; one sister, Mrs. William Barringer of Statesville and one great grandson, William Lester
