She was born September 11, 1912, in Waxahachie to the late Manuel Lee and Hanna Luvena Ketner Harris. She lived in the Oak Cliff area most of her life and worked in the aircraft plant at Grand Prairie. In the 1970s, she retired and moved to Canton. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Lewis Erwin Deal Jr., and granddaughter,Kathy Baxter.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Deal; daughter, Linda Baxter; brother, Albert Franklin Harris;sister, Beatrice Taylor; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Grandchildren served as pallbearers.
