For many years, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jersey Shore, and the Antes Fort chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
An active member of her community, she was a member of the Penn Ridge Chamber of Commerce and the Olde Towne Association of Perkasie. She was the owner and operator of Abbey-By-Design in Perkasie, and was employeed by the Reporter Newspaper in Landsdale.
