Mr. Tucker was an engineer for the Frisco Railroad for 40 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, Mo.
He is survived by one daughter: Karen Sweeney and husband, John, of Wentworth, Mo.; one sister: Catherine Bouton, of College Station, Texas; and one granddaughter: Jamie Sweeney.
Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Arend.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City with Father Peter Morciniec officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery near Monett, Mo. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009 at Wessell Funeral Home with visitation following.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's School or St. Jude's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the care of Wessell Funeral Home in Pierce City, Mo.
