Son and daughter in law Clyde J, and Annie Gunter, Horn Lake Mississippi,Sister Roxie Davis, Brevard N.C. Grand children Lewis J Williams Jr. Natalie Marie Gunter, Joana Rose Gunter. Great grand children, Andrew Tyler Williams, and Lucas Joel Williams, Logan J Williams and Maycee Jae Williams.
Served in the U.S. Army during World War 2, he earned several ribbons and 6 bronze stars, Victory Medal, American Theater Champion Medal. Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Medal, and Good Conduct Medal while serving his country in the Pacific theater. 225th Field Artillery Battalion. Buried with military honors.
