Glen Daniels Man Succumbs at 56;
Rites Incomplete

Albert Jackson Adkins, 56, Glen Daniel, died in a local hospital at 8:30 a.m. Saturday after a illness of about five months. Death was attributed to a heart condition.
Adkins became ill in 1949 when he was employed by the Princess Dorothy Coal Co., at Eunice. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Glen Daniel. He was married to Pansy Briggs on Dec. 3, 1934. A resident of Glen Daniel for the past four years, he moved there from Pineknob.
In addition to his wife, who lives at Glen Daniel, he is survived by a daughter, Adella Deloes Adkins, Gallipolis, O.; and six sons, Charles, Detroit; Kelly, U.S. Marine Corps., stationed at Parris Island, S. C.; Hobart, Jackie, Cecil, and Willie, all at home; one sister, Mrs. Grace Peters, Eccles, and one brother, R. H. Adkins, Roanoke, Va.
The time has not been set, however, services will be held at the Glen Daniel Methodist Church with the Rev. Wade Webb, Arnett, and the Rev. C. D. Walker, Stephenson, in charge. Burial will be in the Arnett Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Farley, Hubert Meadows, Lacy Cantley, Fred Hawley, Junior Clark, and Charlie Claypool.
