Woodward N. Reno, for several years a well known Erie railroad conductor and a man highly respected in this community, died at his home, 644 Williams street, Friday at 12:30 a.m. He had been ill since the twentieth of last January with Bright's disease and his passing was not unexpected at this time.

Mr. Reno was born July 26, 1858, in Wheatland, Pa., a son of the late Isaac N. and Lucy Woodward Reno. He came to this city twenty-eight years ago. From early manhood he was a railroad conductor and for twenty-four years was a conductor in the employ of the Erie. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and was affiliated with the P. H. C., the O. R. C., and the R. R. T. He was widely known, especially among railroad men, and was highly esteemed by all who knew him.

Mr. Reno was married thirty-five years ago to Miss Emma Leyde who preceded him in death a little over two years ago. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Elton (Elsie L.) Birchard, one brother, Earl Reno of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Martin (Lucy May) Lally of Sharon.
