Marlin Joe Linville

Marlin Joe Linville, 51, of Brown Rock, Texas, formerly of Shelbyville, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

Born July 11, 1950, in Shelbyville, he was the son of John M. and Marlene (Tinsley) Linville. On Aug. 25, 1974, he married Gail Marie Sollers, and she survives.

Other survivors include his parents, of Morristown; one daughter, Sara R. Linville, Brown Rock, Texas; five brothers, Dan Linville (wife, Alisha) of Morristown, Jim Linville (wife, Tracy) of Muncie, Jeff Linville (wife, DeAnna) of Douglass, Kan., Doug Linville (wife, April) of Anderson, and Nathan Linville (wife, Buffy) of Batesville; four sisters, Nida Jones (husband Gary), Teresa Earnest (husband Alan), and Vickie Linville, all of Morristown, and Lorie Zwirn (husband, Pete), Kokomo.

Mr. Linville was an artist and a painter. He was a signature member of the Plein Air Painters of America and a member of the Redeemer Presbysterian Church.

Mr. Linville was a graduate of Morristown High School and a 1974 graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in government.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Little Blue River Friends Church.

Burial will be in Little Blue River Friends Cemetery in Rush County.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to time of service at the church.
