James P. Hampton of Carrollton Rte. 5, died Sunday night in a local hospital.
Mr. Hampton, 89, a native of Unaka, N. C., was a retired merchant. He was a Mason.
Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. P. D. Carroll, carrollton Rte. 5, Mrs. Harry Hagan, East Liverpool, Ohio and Mrs. H. H. Brinson; three sons, J. R. Hampton, Gainesville, Daqle Hampton, Conyers and Earl Hampton, Rosemount, Minn.; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the Almon Funeral Home with the Rev. H. B. Benson officiating.
Grandsons served as pallbearers. Internment was in Douglasville city Cemetery.
Almon Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
