Martinsburg Herald, [Friday] June 28, 1929: MRS. M. A. QUARRY
Mrs. Margaret Acker Quarry, wife of D. B. Quarry, of Roaring Spring, died Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock after a few days' illness from indigestion. Mrs. Quarry with her husband celebrated their golden wedding December 5, 1928.
She was born at Clover Creek May 29, 1853, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Bowers Acker, and is the last of a family of 13 children. The greater part of her life was spent on a farm, residing part of the time on a farm near Martinsburg. She has been a resident of Roaring Spring since 1919.
Mrs. Quarry was an active member of the Lutheran church.
Besides her husband, two daughters survive: Mrs. Carrie Charlton of Altoona, and Mrs. Minnie Kensinger of Juniata.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in St. Luke's Lutheran church, Roaring Spring, by her pastor, Rev. C. E. Naugle, assisted by other ministers of the town. Interment followed in Greenlawn cemetery, Roaring Spring.
