Mrs. Ella S. Hendershot, 70 years old, wife of Oscar Hendershot, died Friday at her home, 196 Broad Street. She had been ill three months from the effects of a paralytic stroke received three weeks ago, when she fell on the porch. She never spoke after the stroke, which was the second one. The first having been suffered a year before.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two step-daughters, Mrs. J.S. Wilson of Phillipsburg and Mrs. Harry Apgar of Easton; also a sister, Mrs. Anna Fritts, of Phillipsburg. She was a member of the Norton M.E. Church. Rev. J.E. Washabaugh conducted the funeral services Tuesday afternoon, with burial in Washington Cemetery.
