MRS. CULLINAN
ARLINGTON -- Funeral services for Mabel Cullinan, 73, who died Sunday at the Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Fla., will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Mahar & Sons Funeral Home in Bennington, and at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church in Arlington.
Burial will be in St. Columbian's Cemetery in Arlington.
Mrs. Cullinan, the former Mabel Mears, was born in Sandgate on Jan. 19, 1907, the daughter of Clifton and Nettie (Hamilton) Mears.
She graduated from North Bennington High School and the former Castleton Normal School. She also received her degree from Castleton State College in 1949 and engaged in summer studies at Yale University and the North Adams, Mass., State College.
She taught school in Arlington for 33 years. She was a member of the National Retired Teachers' Association, and held many offices in the Arlington Parent Teacher Association.
She married Leo Cullinan at the former St. Columbian's Church in Arlington.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Boucher of New York City, and five grandchildren.
