Mrs. Emily Batson Westbrook, widow of Norwood S. Westbrook, of 2123 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, N.C., passed away on Saturday, September 14, 1991, at her residence.
She was born in Pender County, N.C., the daughter of the late Jesse Thomas and Callie Blake Batson.
Mrs. Westbrook was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Freeman Foster Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her daughters, Miss Frances Westbrook of Wilmington, N.C., and Mrs. Mary Westbrook Moyle and her husband, Paul O. Moyle of Wrightsville Beach, N.C.; two grandsons, Paul O. Moyle III and wife, Jan of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Norwood Shepard Moyle and wife, Wendy of Fort Wayne, IN.; three great-grandchildren, Paul O. Moyle IV, Norwood Eric Moyle and Emily Frances Moyle of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Bradshaw of Wilmington, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 1991, in Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel by Dr. Michael G. Queen and Rev. Jim Everette.
Pallbearers will be Paul O. Moyle III, Norwood Shepard Moyle, Dr. Calvin Doss, George Davis, Harry Bryant and Milton Murray.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rhodes Batson, Arthur Batson, Wright Batson, George McLendon, James Thomas McMillan, Willie Walker, Dr. Thomas Head, Walter Barnhill, Frank Incerto, Jon Moyle, Dr. Robert Andrews and Dr. David Sloan.
