She grew to 5' 2" tall with dark hair & warm brown eyes – a beautiful woman. She married the love of her life, Ora B. LeForce, on 12/22/1919. They had twelve children, all born & raised in Craig County, OK.
Alma was a quiet, reserved woman with a warmth & concern for all. She would never turn a "hobo" away from her door without first filling a plate with food for him to take to a shade tree & eat before he continued on his way.
She somehow got through it all…like a run away team pulling a wagon with her children in it. Or the time little Gracie fell out of the wagon & the wagon wheel ran over her. After seeing that Gracie was alright, she laughed when Gracie excitedly stated "Oh Mommy, my heart's beating".
A devoted wife & mother, she maintained her home well, whistling or singing gospel songs as she worked. Even though she spent the last ten years of her life in sickness, I believe it can be said: she had a full & happy life. She died 9/22/1952 in a Vinita, OK hospital. She is buried in the Fairview Cemetery at Vinita, OK.
