Bio:

Maxine Josephine LeForce, daughter of Ora B. & Alma Elnora (Cox) LeForce, born 12/12/1921 at Centralia, Craig, Oklahoma. She attended the Centralia school & then moved to Tulsa, OK where she met & married William Abraham Tiley, originally from Bluejacket, OK.

After serving as a cook in the US Army, Abe & Maxine made their home in Tulsa, working in restaurants; he as a cook & Maxine as a waitress. They clothed & schooled her two youngest brothers, off & on, during the illness of her mother. Maxine & Abe later divorced. He died May 1978 & is buried at Bluejacket, OK.

Maxine married Hardy B. Young of Dallas TX who had a son Robert from a previous marriage. Hardy died in their Garland TX home after a heart attack. He was 42 years old & a member of the Elmwood Methodist Church.

Next Maxine married Charles Ross & their home was in Idaho where he died.

Next she married Elmer McDonald on 4/10/1984 in Miami OK. They made their home in Locust Grove OK & were active in church work.

Maxine had a leg amputation, due to diabetes, about 1987. She died 3/24/1994 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She was buried in the Fairview Cemetery at Vinita, OK next to Charles Ross.

No children were born of any of these marriages.

Maxine J. McDonald, 72 year old Locust Grove resident, died Thursday, March 24, 1994 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.

She was born December 12, 1921 in Centralia to Ora B. & Alma (Cox) LeForce. She married Elmer McDonald on April 10, 1954 in Miami.

The family includes: her husband, Elmer, of the home; sisters, Laverne Carswell, Margaret Nail, Betty Hodges, Katherine Lipp, and Grace Creason, all of Vinita, and Violet LeForce of Grand Prairie, Texas. Brothers, Roy LeForce of Locust Grove, Don LeForce of Chouteau, John LeForce of Vinita, Bill LeForce of Allegan Michigan, and Sam LeForce of Springfield, Illinois; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Luginbuel Chapel with Rev. Harry Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.

All arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Service of Vinita.
