A machinist with Elliot Co. of Plaquemine, he passed away at 11:22 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 67, a resident of Plaquemine and a native of Courtland, Miss. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Monday, April 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 1:30 p.m., conducted by pastors Jon Moyers and Frank Manguno. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by his wife of 34 years, Charity Henson Walker; daughter, Connie M. Reed and husband Bryan; son, James Walker Anderson and wife Lisa; brothers, William Clay Walker and wife Sallie, of Columbus, Miss., and Merritt Hunt Walker, of Batesville, Miss.; five grandchildren, Megan R. Guillot and fiancé Jeremy Burnett, Rebecca A. Guillot, and Ryvers, Reaghan and Rylee Anderson; sisters-in-law and spouses, Lou Breaux, Elsie and David Bourgeois, and Sheila and Nicky Migliacio; brothers-in-law and spouses, Irvin and Molly Henson, Dean and Melissa Henson, Hurley Sr. and Patty Henson, Marshall and Amy Henson, and Brady Sr. and Angie Henson; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, Brandi. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Burnett, James Anderson, Jamie Ashford, Lynn King, Will Hebert, Marshall Henson, Hurley Henson Sr. and Brady Henson Sr. Honorary pallbearers are Bryan Reed, Dean Henson Sr., Lynn Lewis Sr., David Bourgeois, Nicky Migliacio and all Elliot employees. Preceded in death by his parents, Melburne and Ruth Walker; three sisters, Mary Norsworthy, Jean Gottlieb and Ann Reeves; brothers, Melburne Lee and Garland Wray Walker; and mother-in-law, Mary A. Henson. he loved his Harleys, gardening, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Special thanks to Jamie and Merle Ashford, Jimmy Kelly, Dr. Henry Patrick, Dr. Zuckerman, Dr. Kantrow and the staff at the MICU at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center for all their help and kindness. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Courtland, Miss.
