Gertrude C. Host, 90, of Tionesta, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, in Beverly
Healthcare, Titusville, where she was a resident.


Born May 10, 1910, in Tionesta, she was a daughter of Charles F. and Cora M.
Gathers Blum.


Mrs. Host was of the Methodist faith.


She was married to Wesley Herbert "Bill" Host, who died in 1970.


Surviving are two sons, I. James Host of Pleasantville and Forest Earl Host
of Hillsboro, Ohio; two daughters, Dian Johnson and Maribelle Brooks, both
of Titusville; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.


She also is survived by a sister, Cathyleen Bemis of Marienville; and
several nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Host was preceded in death by
one son, Richard LeRoy Host; two children in infancy, Philip Wesley and
Gloria Jean; three brothers, Ralph, Clyde and Lester; and three sisters,
Bernice, Helen and Evelyn.


Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Norman J. Wimer
Funeral Home of Tionesta.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with
the Rev. Anette V. Gerber, pastor of Tionesta Methodist Church, officiating.


Interment will be in Washington Cemetery, Washington Township, Clarion
County.
