J. Frank Adams was born November 22, 1873 and passed away June 26th, 1955, being at the time of death 81 years, 8 months, and 5 days of age. He was the son of Jepetha and Emily Adams and was born in Henry County, Mo. He came with his parents, when a small boy, to Cedar County. With the exception of three years spent in the State of Idaho his life was spent near Stockton, Mo. He was a farmer and a very hard working man. He was fair and just in all his dealings, honesty being his policy. He upheld the right in every situation. The deceased was a good neighbor, a loyal friend and a kind husband and father. A few days ago he told his companion that his stay on earth was very short, but that he was ready and anxious to go. Frank Adams was married to Laura Hoerning, November 18th, 1904, and to this union were born two sons and one daughter. The daughter Emma passed away at the age of 9 years old. He is survived by the loving companion, Laura, the devoted sons, Edd and Lewis, both of the home and the daughter-in-law, Agatha. Other surviving relatives are three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Fritts of Caldwell, Idaho, Mrs. Ollie Atkinson of Plattsmouth, Nebraska and Mrs. Emma Doney of Kansas City, Mo, and a number of nieces and nephews. Last rites were conducted by Sister Callie Achord in the Gum Springs church on Tuesday afternoon, June 28. Interment was in the cemetery there under directions of the Cantlon Funeral HOme.
