Daniel T. Camilleri, 85, of 37 Zwicks Farm Road, Plantsville, husband of the late Annie (Campbell) Camilleri, died on May 23, 2009 of Leukemia at The Hospital of Central CT.


He was born in Winsted, the son of Joseph and Concetta (Sardo) Camilleri and lived in Plantsville 52 years.


He was the founder and owner of the Meriden Glass Company until its sale in 2007, but continued to work there until February of this year.


He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a 52 year member of the Plantsville Congregational Church.


He leaves his son and wife Daniel J. Camilleri and Charlotte Camilleri of Southington, a daughter Jane Scordato of Ellington, two grandchildren Ryan Scordato of LA and Leigh Scordato of Ellington, a sister Tina Bertolino of Deerfield, MA and several nieces and nephews.


The Funeral will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
Calling hours are to be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
