Spiceland – Howard William Lee, 58, of 230 Academy Ave., Spiceland, died this morning at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond following an illness of four or five months.
He was born November 17, 1930, in Spiceland to Horace and Gladys Hagerman Pee. He was a graduate of Indiana University and held a Master of Science degree in geology. He also received Bachelor of Science degree and an Optometrist degree. He practiced optometry in Princeton for several years and was a member of the American Optometry Association. He had served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Howard Lee of Shelbyville; a daughter, Dana Kathryn Lee of Savannah, Ga; his mother Gladys Coffin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Juanita Setree) of Spiceland, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Perry of Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. James (Garnet) VanHouten of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Coude-Hostetler Funeral Home in New Castle.
