Sinai Barrow was born August 20, 1818, the daughter of John Barrow and Mary Steele Barrow. She was married twice before she married Samuel Wesley Higgerson, first to John Ralls (June 16, 1801-August 1, 1855) on January 22, 1850 in Campbell Hill, and they had two children:

1. unknown son, born and died September 23, 1851, in Red Bud, Illinois
2. unknown son, born and died September 10, 1853, in Red Bud, Illinois

After the death of her first husband, Sinai married Laben G. Jones in July of 1859. He was the son of Matthew Jones and Rachel Gallegly, and he was a sheriff in Perry County, Illinois. Sinai and Laben had no children. He died June 8, 1878 in Worth, Missouri.

Sinai Barrow Ralls Jones married Samuel Wesley Higgerson on April 1, 1880. They had no children together, but she raised her sister's six children (her sister, Eulalia, was Samuel W. Higgerson's third wife and had six children by him) Sinai was married to Samuel Higgerson for almost sixteen years when she died on February 26, 1896. No photographs of her are known to exist.
