Mrs. Lassie S. Reed
BIRMINGHAM -- Funeral for Mrs. Lassie S. Reed, 72, of 3426 N. 34th St., who died Wednesday at Decatur General Hospital, will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Landersville Cemetery, Elliott Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include a son, Hubert Reed Jr., Plano, Texas, three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Dean Massey, Phil Campbell, and Mrs. Lee Terry, Lehark, Ind.; two stepsisters, Mrs. Audry Pitt, Moulton, and Mrs. Annie Sue Wheeler, Decatur; and three brothers, E.C. Appleton Jr., Moulton, Ray Appleton, Decatur and Robert Appleton, Portland, Ore.
Mrs. Reed was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Birmingham.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Lassie was the spouse of Herbert Watson Reed.
They were married March 29, 1930 in Morgan County, Alabama.
